Donations to the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation, go toward helping students reach their full potential by ensuring they have access to everyday essentials such as food, shelter, electricity, and heat in their homes, and much more.

The Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation is pleased to make available 18 bursaries across the region (two per DCDSB secondary school). Each bursary is valued at $500 and is to be applied toward the costs associated with post-secondary education. The total amount distributed across all secondary schools each year is $9,000, which supports students in their chosen pathway through post-secondary education or training.
Selection Process
Selection of the recipients is made by the Graduation Awards Committee established by each secondary school. Recipients are considered on the basis of financial need and their embodiment of the values and attributes of the Catholic Graduate Expectations.
Bursary Distribution
Bursaries are presented to each recipient at their graduation ceremony/celebration.
