Walk for Hope - June 2023
A heartfelt thank you to our Durham Catholic learning community!
June is a very busy month in our DCDSB schools, but for 35 DCDSB schools and hundreds of students, it didn't deter them from Walking for Hope in support of the Durham Catholic Children's Foundation.
Donations for this Walk for Hope raised $12,237 to help fellow students reach their full potential by ensuring they have access to everyday essentials such as food, shelter, lights and heat in their homes and much more.
A special "shout-out" to the DCDSB staff that helped organize these individual school events. It's amazing what can be accomplished when we all work together for a such a deserving cause.
About the Walk for Hope
Schools across Durham Catholic District School Board will be participating in the Walk for Hope in support of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation in June 2023. Students and staff will be invited to donate “virtual” toonies to support Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation initiatives. Funds collected will assist the Foundation in helping children and families in the Durham Catholic District School Board. The purpose of the Foundation is to ensure that students in the Durham Catholic District School Board can attend school with the basic daily necessities of life provided. In addition, it supports students’ participation in all aspects of school life, enabling them to work towards reaching their full potential.
All donations will be made through School Cash Online. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 board-wide! 100% of the donations go directly to support the initiatives of the Durham Catholic Children's Foundation
